Our Story
We were fans before we were makers.
Our workshop has been pouring epoxy resin lamps for years — over 14,000 five-star reviews across our marketplace stores, shipped to fans on every continent. Tonkinart is the newest thing we've built: a home dedicated entirely to the movie and anime worlds we couldn't stop making.
The name comes from the Gulf of Tonkin — a nod to our Vietnamese roots. We're proud of where these lamps are made, because it's the hands here that make them worth owning.
Seven to ten days, five stages, two hands
Design the piece
The scene is designed first — composition, figure poses, colorway and how the light will travel through the resin.
Sculpt & paint
Miniature figures are cleaned, primed and hand-painted under magnification — eyes, seams, tiny details.
Build the scene
Each diorama is composed inside its mold — figures, terrain and lighting angles set before a single pour.
Pour, cure & effects
Resin goes in layer by layer, with smoke and cloud effects worked into the resin itself. Curing alone takes at least 3 days.
Polish & light
Every surface is sanded and polished to glass clarity, then the LED base is fitted, tested in the dark, and packed.
